The 3-ATI Display Head Assembly features a 480 x 480 pixel, 256 grey level display with a wide luminance range and night vision viewing compatibility that can meet exacting aerospace environmental specifications.

The Display Head Assembly consists of a specifically manufactured LCD panel laminated with low specular and diffuse reflectance front glass and heater rear glass, which provides the display with a wide viewing angle, high readability in bright sunlight and rapid response at low temperatures. Versions with and without night vision capabilities are available. The Display Head Assembly is driven by custom designed driver interface flexible circuits and controlled by several temperature and optical sensors and thermal cut-outs. The high output backlight is a cold cathode fluorescent lamp mounted onto a heat exchanger. The lamp and laminated display are assembled into a rugged machined aluminium frame.
