Company HistoryThe original business, The Transistor Development Company, was formed in 1953 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Pye Limited to manufacture small signal low frequency germanium transistors for use in portable radios. In 1967, Phillips took a controlling interest in Pye and, two years later, established a line to manufacture custom built thick film hybrid circuits. After several changes in name and ownership, the business became Graseby Microsystems in 1992. The capabilities were expanded to encompass surface mount assembly on hybrid circuits and chip on board using flexi-rigid printed circuit boards. The range of products has continued to grow with the development of custom solid state power controllers and, more recently, with a major investment to enter the ruggedised display market. We supply parts to a wide range of markets, including Avionics, Defence, Medical and Industrial. Our aerospace customers include BAE Systems, General Dynamics, Meggit and GE Aviation. |
